ACUP Conference Begins Sunday

Océ Event in New York a Hit
IPG Editor Bob Neubauer travelled to New York City on Wednesday to attend the Océ VIP Event, one of a series of events the company has been holding around the country. About 35 in-plant managers showed up to learn more about Océ’s “green” initiatives and to see some of its new equipment in action. This included the award-winning VarioPrint 6250, which prints on both sides of a page at the same time, and the CS650 color printer.
Xerox Innovation Showcase
At an event this week called “Inside Innovation at Xerox,” held at the Palo Alto Research Center, Xerox showcased 10 emerging technologies. Scientists from research centers around the world were on hand to discuss technologies such as self-erasing, reusable paper; pop-up photos; clean technology; and one-to-one communications. New Study Covers Digital Printing in Government
INTERQUEST has released a study called Digital Printing in Government: Perspectives of Federal Print Buyers & Third-Party Providers. The study is based on extensive, in-depth interviews with 60 large government agencies and service providers. It complements a 2007 report which primarily focused on in-house printing at the state, local and federal levels.
